If you are intimidated by the fitness/weightlifting industry, COME HERE! I'll start this by saying I grew up in the fitness industry. My mom has taught group fitness classes since I could walk and has done body-building. She still teaches to this day and has her own business in PA, but I never really enjoyed her "style" of fitness, and I also was so insecure in her classes. I've always wanted to learn how to weight lift but was always too embarrassed or scared to try it myself at a gym. I had tried in the past and hurt myself because I didn't know what I was doing. I became super jaded with the fitness industry and wrote it off for a few years and my health started to deteriorate. When we moved to Oklahoma, I found this gym on socials thanks to Iron Forge. I was still scared but forced my husband and I to check it out. It's been two weeks and I can already say my life and my outlook on my health has drastically improved. I legitimately have been emotional talking to people about how much I love this gym. It's not even just the fact that it ACTUALLY is judgment free (I know some gyms have "judgment free zone as a slogan but let's be real, people are still judging), it's the community, the support, the genuine care that goes into your health and well-being. Fitness isn't just about looking a certain way, it's about your whole body health, and Ernie and Jason genuinely care about ALL of you - mind, body, spirit. I'll end this by saying I am NOT a morning person...like straight up snoring when my husband leaves type of person. But I love coming here so much that a 4 AM wake up is easy on the days I come (still struggling the other days LOL). COME HERE. You WILL NOT regret it. Push past the fear you have because of what society has made fitness into...there is healing here!
